SECOND SIGHT BY CANDLELIGHT

A Witch is a person with the Second Sight,

Who foresees the future with dread or delight.

The time to work this magic power

Is at night at the Witching Hour.

Fill thy chalice with clear water pure

And burn an Incense of benzoin to insure

That Spirits of the Elements of Air

Bless thy efforts with smiles most fair.

Set seven tall candles of the purest white,

Around thy chalice to burn very bright.

With only the light from these candle flames

Concentrate upon thy goals and aims.

Request assistance from the Airy Spirits,

As thou ignitest each of the seven lights.

FIRE AND SMOKE AT THIS WITCHING HOUR

FILL MY MAGIC WITH VISIONARY POWER.

AS I WILL TO FORESEE

WHATEVER SHALL BE.

If Thou canst, produce a half sleep.

Gaze at the Chalice and water clear

And note the visions that do appear.
